Race and Equity in Child- and Family-Serving Systems (June 2020)
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the need to focus on race and equity in child- and family-serving systems has been magnified. As employees within those systems strive to address that need, they also must adjust their ways of working. This webinar focuses on ways that employees can cultivate equity and inclusion among themselves, in order to better serve children and families. The importance of equity and inclusion to child- and family-serving systems and workers is discussed. Presenter Dr. Brenda J. Allen explores how race and equity matter in the workplace (in-person and virtually). She shares strategies for how workers can better support one another by being more equity-minded.
